Two different sessions will be available this August:

Full Tejas LEE Training of Trainers—Full 2 day training for those individuals new to Tejas LEE or new to training their districts on the instrument. This training covers Proper Administration Procedures (K, G1, G2, G3), Grouping Students for Individualized Instruction, Using the Intervention Activities Guide, Spelling Tools and Analysis, and training on the two Progress Monitoring tools—the MPLE and MPLP. Cost $340.*


**UPDATED** Tejas LEE “Pro” Training—A one day training designed for those individuals who have already been to the full TOT training and wish to deepen their knowledge of the Tejas LEE. This training covers four additional modules available to school districts. The first is our Experienced Tejas LEE Teacher refresher module. This training covers common administration errors seen during the Tejas LEE team’s observations of the current assessment, Tejas LEE online resources and answers questions frequently asked about how Tejas LEE assesses Phonological Awareness. Next, our Tejas LEE and Response to Intervention module shows how Tejas LEE results can be integrated into a school’s RtI program. Our new School/District Level Data Analysis module demonstrates how you can powerfully use this data to drive instruction at the campus and district level. Finally, participants complete our Intervention Activity Make and Take module, leaving the training with 6 completed folder games. Cost $195.*


*The cost of training will include all training materials and breakfast and lunch each day. The cost also includes an afternoon snack.

Hotel Considerations

The campus of the University of Houston is centrally located with a great number of hotel options available. To assist you in planning your stay, we have provided approximate travel times below. Keep in mind that Houston traffic can be very busy during rush hour times and you should adjust for this when considering the travel time listed:

  • Walking distance from the Hilton University of Houston
  • 5-10 minutes from downtown Houston to the University of Houston
  • 15 minutes from Hobby Airport to the University of Houston
  • 20 minutes from the Galleria area to the University of Houston
